Colleyville, Texas

Colleyville is an affluent community located west of Dallas and northeast of Fort Worth. Voted one of the "Best Places to Live" in Texas by Money magazine, Colleyville is a magnet for families seeking an exceptional lifestyle. So many towns have the same old stores and restaurants with the same old merchandise and the same old food. But Colleyville is different. The city is a suburban oasis of fine homes, lush public parks and unique shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities.

From its roots as a sleepy little farming community in 1960, Colleyville has grown steadily to its current population of 24,000. And as the community continues to grow, so does its diversity and desirability among relocating families. Today, Colleyville enjoys the well-deserved reputation as one of the premier addresses in North Texas. This is the epitome of small town living with access to every imaginable big city amenity.

Colleyville residential properties include single family homes, new construction, lots, acreage, horse properties, luxury homes, rentals & patio homes. Housing prices typically range from $350,000 to $950,000. Last year, a total of 432 Colleyville homes were sold. The average sale price was $525,000, an increase of 7.4 per cent over the previous 12-month period.

Colleyville, Texas

The area that is now Colleyville was first settled in the 1850s. The city is named in honor of Lilburn H. Colley, a physician and a native of Missouri who moved to Texas in 1880. He practiced family medicine and was active in civic and educational activities in the area for 40 years. More than a century later, we are convinced Dr. Colley would be pleased with the city that bears his name. With outstanding schools, great shopping and dining, and an amazingly low crime rate, Colleyville offers something for everyone. It is served by the award-winning Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District.

While Colleyville has a robust and diversified local economy, it also serves as a gateway to major employment hubs in Fort Worth, Dallas and the Alliance Corridor. With its central location, Colleyville provides easy access to recreation and entertainment throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth region. Finally, Colleyville's proximity to D/FW International Airport makes it easy to fly virtually anywhere in the world.

Contiguous neighboring cities include Southlake, Grapevine, Hurst, Bedford, North Richland Hills and Keller. Not surprisingly, the nearby city of Keller has also been voted one of the top 100 "Best Places to Live" by Money magazine. With a current population approaching 39,000, Keller is one of the most popular and affordable cities in the Dallas/Fort Worth region. Keller is blessed with a highly desirable central location, great transportation, a low crime rate, and outstanding schools. As a result, the city is experiencing a boom in population, as well as vibrant residential and commercial construction and retail growth.

Colleyville, Texas
